As we expand into the research and journal publishing ecosystem, we are looking for an experienced professional to help us build and scale this vertical.
We are seeking a Research Publishing & Academic Partnerships Lead who possesses deep, hands-on knowledge of the research paper and journal publishing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience working with journals, publishers, or research support organizations and understands how manuscripts move from ideation to publication.
This role is critical in helping us enter, understand, and scale within the research publishing market by building strategic partnerships, optimizing workflows, and identifying growth opportunities.
Manage and optimize the complete research publishing lifecycle:
ideation → manuscript development → editing → journal selection → submission → peer review → revision → publication.
Guide internal teams on best practices for manuscript preparation, formatting, and submission standards.
Ensure alignment with international publishing ethics and guidelines (Plagiarism, authorship, referencing standards, etc.).
Build and maintain relationships with:
Academic journals (Scopus, Web of Science, indexed journals)
Publishers and editorial boards
Conference organizers and academic institutions
Identify credible publication avenues and eliminate predatory journal risks.
Facilitate collaborations, partnerships, and publishing opportunities.
Identify gaps and opportunities within the research support and publishing market.
Develop strategies to tap into student, researcher, and institutional segments globally.
Work closely with marketing and sales teams to design targeted outreach campaigns.
Design structured support systems for researchers including:
Journal selection guidance
Manuscript editing workflows
Submission and reviewer response assistance
Mentor internal teams on handling complex author queries and publication challenges.
Ensure all deliverables meet international academic publishing standards.
Implement SOPs for plagiarism checks, referencing styles, and ethical compliance.
Stay updated with evolving publishing norms, indexing requirements, and global standards.
Train internal teams on research publishing processes and industry expectations.
Create knowledge resources, templates, and frameworks for scalability.
Successful publication rate in indexed journals

2–5+ years of experience in:
Academic publishing
Research support services
Journal editorial or peer-review processes
Strong understanding of:
Scopus, Web of Science, UGC CARE indexing
Journal selection strategies and impact factors
Peer review workflows and editorial systems
Experience working with publishers, journals, or academic institutions preferred
Familiarity with plagiarism tools, referencing styles (APA, MLA, Harvard, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Hands-on experience in the research publishing pipeline (not just academic writing)
Ability to differentiate between credible and predatory journals
Strategic mindset with execution capability
Strong industry network is a major advantage
