The test conducting organization has published the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2022 and an information brochure on the official website. The JEE Advanced pattern gives applicants an understanding of the grading structure, test duration, exam media, and sorts of questions that will be asked. The JEE advanced exam, administered online (in CBT mode) since 2018, consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper will take three hours to complete. While Paper 1 of the entrance test will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the same day. All students are required to participate in both papers.
JEE Advanced 2022 Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be divided into three divisions, with questions drawn from physics, chemistry, and mathematics. If you answer a question wrong in the test, you will receive negative marks. Before you proceed with your preparation, it is essential to know the detailed exam pattern to start your preparation accordingly.
The exam regulating organization is yet to announce the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2022. Candidates can compare their overall JEE Advanced marks to the previous year's pattern. There will be two papers in JEE Advanced: paper-1 and paper-2. The total marks for JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2 are 188 each, with 54 questions on each paper. As a result, the total JEE Advanced marks for both examinations are 366.
Both papers are organized into three sections, each with 18 questions: physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Each paper is three hours long and can be taken in Hindi or English.
